THERE was a wonderful atmosphere at Bray Town Hall last week as a civic reception was held in honour of the victorious Bray Emmets hurling teams.

The Bray men managed to capture the senior hurling title for the first time in 62 years and also managed to succeed at Junior A level. Both teams were present at the reception and local representatives paid tribute to their dedication.

‘It’s an amazing achievement,’ said Cathaoirleach of Bray Municipal District John Brady. ‘Victories like this don’t come along every day so it’s important to mark the occasion.’
