Man accused of smashing mirror

Jimmy O’Brien of 31 Burnaby Lawns, Greystones is due to appear back at Bray District Court in January where he faces a number of charges, including criminal damage and a number of roads traffic incidents.

He is charged with driving without a license, driving while exceeding the alcohol limit, dangerous driving and driving while disqualified at Ballyhenry, Ashford, on July 21 2013.

He also faces a charge of criminal damage and being intoxicated in public at Strand Road, Bray, on September 14 2013. On the night in question gardaí received a radio call from a local resident who had witnessed a passer-by smash one of his side view mirrors, causing €233.86 worth of damage.

Judge William Early was also informed that O’Brien faced a section 2 assault charge and a section 4 theft charge as well from other incidents.

The defendant was granted legal aid and ordered to appear back before Bray District Court on January 19.
