CHRISTMAS STABLES Powerscour­t Garden Pavilion Stables 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Adults and children of all ages are welcome to pay a visit the stables, which is free of charge.

LAKESHORE WONDERLAND Avon Ri, Blessingto­n 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission for children (one adult goes free, additional adults pay €5) is €18 and includes a visit to Santa, a gift and hot chocolate and full access to Santa’s Lakeshore Wonderland. THE FOREST TRAIN AND CHRISTMAS MARKET Avondale House and Forest Park 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets, which must be booked online at www.theforestt­rain.ie cost €15 for children, €10 for adults and €5 for babies (0-12 months).

TWIRLTASTI­C CRAFT FAIR Wolfe Tone Youth Club 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wolfe Tone Baton Twirlers will hold this craft fair including stalls, tea and coffee, face painting and much more. SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS FAIR Courthouse Arts Centre, Tinahely 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The annual festive favourite will feature an abundance of handmade crafts and Christmas spirit. Admission is free.

CHRISTMAS ISLAND Hidden Valley Holiday Park 11 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. Tickets, which must be booked in advance at www.christmasi­sland.ie, cost €15 per child and €12 per adult.

CHRISTMAS FAYRE Valleymoun­t Community Centre 11.45 a.m. Christmas cheer and festive fun is on the agenda as you browse the great selection of stalls selling a variety of goods. Of course, no Christmas fayre would be complete without a visit from Santa and he will be arriving at 12.30 p.m. CHRISTMAS TASTES, THEMES AND TOURS Russboroug­h House 12 noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

CHRISTMAS FAIR Glenealy Hall 12 noon to 4 p.m. There will be over 30 craft stalls packed with ideas for great Christmas gifts at the next annual fair in the village hall. There will also be plenty of home baking stalls and, of course, a visit from the man in red, Santa Claus.

BRAY BEACH CHRISTMAS MARKET The Harbour Bar 12 noon to 5 p.m.

WINTER WONDERLAND FESTIVE DANCE DEMONSTRAT­ION Grand Hotel 2.30 p.m. The Lisa Heenan School of Dance has invited everyone to come along to this festive performanc­e to see the talented performers in action. Tickets will be on sale on the door. Admission: adults - €7; children - €5. WICKLOW CHORAL SOCIETY CHRISTMAS CONCERT Fatima Hall, Dominican College 3.30 p.m. This family-friendly event will feature a mixture of Christmas carols and readings, accompanie­d by Cormuin O’Raghallaig­h and with a guest appearance by the Kelly Family Ensemble. Any proceeds from donations and a raffle will be donated to the local St Vincent de Paul branch.

CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE Ss Mary and Michael’s Church, Rathdrum 4 p.m. Soak up the festive atmosphere at this carol service featuring the parish choir, the girls and boys from

the local pri- mary schools and soloists Avril O’Toole and Liam Kinsella.

CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTS Baltinglas­s Hospital 5 p.m. West Wicklow Day Care Committee will be switching on the lights on their 25ft Christmas tree, which was erected in memory of dearly departed friends and family. A carol service will also take place on the hospital grounds.

CLASSICAL CHRISTMAS CONCERT St Mary’s Church, Enniskerry 7 p.m. Sadly, this concert, featuring famous tenor Ross Scanlon, is now sold out.
