UDC members vote to end right of way
MEMBERS of Bray UDC have voted in favour of formally extinguishing a public right of way at the area known locally as ‘ The Triangle’, Herbert Road.
Cllr Brid Collins said that a laneway was being used as a public toilet and for other anti-social behaviour, and that the closure was supported by the gardaí.
Town Clerk Tom Murphy said that the costs involved in the closure would be little enough and that work would commence in the near future.
In a related matter, members voted to keep open a right of way from Upper Dargle to Greenpark Road, adjacent to number 67 Greenpark Road.
Cllr Dermot Tobin said he was disappointed that members had not adopted the same attitude last year, when they voted for the closure of O’Byrne Road, in spite of a recommendation by an independent inspector to keep it open.
