Bray People - - NEWS -

A life drawing workshop with David Begley and Hanneke van Ryswyk will take place at the Schoolhouse for Art in Enniskerry on Saturday and Sunday, September 20 and 21.

The classes will be on from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a fee of €160. Only eight places are available. Participants will work with a nude model. The focus of the workshop is on tone, composition, the figure in space and developing your own personal way of drawing using charcoal.

In the drawing workshop David will supply cork and charcoal made from driftwood, ivy, vine and willow, erasers and a large sheet of Fabriano paper for drawing.

Each participant will draw from a life model for the two days, beginning with quick studies and drawing exercises leading to a longer tonal drawing.

Welsh artist Hanneke van Ryswyk will join the artists on Sunday, December 21.

She will be working directly from the model in monotype and will give a demonstration of the making and printing of a monotype print.

On registration, you will be told what materials you need to bring.
