Mitchell praises clubs for year­book suc­cess

OUT­GO­ING County PRO Pat Mitchell of­fered huge thanks to the clubs and in­di­vid­u­als who had made the an­nual year­book pos­si­ble in 2014.

The Rath­new club man said ad­dressed Con­ven­tion and said he wanted to pub­licly thank a cer­tain num­ber of peo­ple who had worked “day and night” for the pub­li­ca­tion.

“”I’d like to thank the de­signer Seraphina, the man who is say­ing goodbye tonight like my­self but a man who has been in the business for quite a while, Jackie Napier, and the man of all sea­sons, Jimmy Dunne.

“The amount of work that those peo­ple have put in to pro­duce what we have here tonight, a prize-win­ning edi­tion of the GAA in Wick­low for 2014. We won’t hold you up much longer but thank you to ev­ery­one.,” he added.

“Fi­nally, on the ques­tion of the year­book.

“It wouldn’t be a suc­cess only for you the clubs.

“If the clubs do not con­trib­ute there is no year­book and this year we had a huge, huge con­tri­bu­tion from the clubs plus a few in­di­vid­u­als who wrote some ar­ti­cles and they were very much ap­pre­ci­ated”.
