The annual Glencormac United FC Christmas Charity Matches will take place on Saturday, December 27, at the pitch on the Quill Road.
The first game is for the Joe Molloy Memorial Shield and will take place at 12.30 p.m. between Karl Bradshaw’s U11 panel and Lar Merriman’s U10s. The second match is for the Benny Finnerty Memorial Cup and will take place at 1.45 p.m. This game will feature the present team against former greats and legends and is always a competitive game. All monies donated on the day go to Bray Cancer Support Group and the Irish Heart Foundation in memory of two people who are sadly no longer with us but never forgotten. Afterwards, it will be the usual banter in Plucks where senior team manager Trevor Carr will describe where it all went wrong.
