Holo­caust Sur­vivor His­tory stu­dents are look­ing for­ward to a visit from Tomi Reichental a sur­vivor of the holo­caust who has writ­ten of his ex­pe­ri­ences as a child as he and his fam­ily were rounded up from their home­land in Slo­vakia and de­tained in Belsen con­cen­tra­tion camp Tomi is one of a very small num­ber of holo­caust sur­vivors in Ire­land.


The TY class were re­warded for a very busy term’s work with a visit to Dun­drum on Ice on Thurs­day De­cem­ber 11th.Stu­dents have had an ac­tion packed term with a huge va­ri­ety of ac­tiv­i­ties from out­doors pur­suits to fash­ion de­sign. Work ex­pe­ri­ence ,vis­it­ing speak­ers and vis­its out formed a vi­tal part of the terms events.


Third year stu­dents from the class of 2014 had a chance to cel­e­brate their achieve­ments at a grad­u­a­tion cer­e­mony held in the Col­lege on Thurs day 11th De­cem­ber .This highly suc­cess­ful pro­gramme is a Ju­nior Cer­tifi­cate, with a sig­nif­i­cant fo­cus on lit­er­acy and nu­mer­acy in line with Ed­u­ca­tion pol­icy.


Third year stu­dents had the chance to see their learn­ing about pol­i­tics and democ­racy in ac­tion re­cently with a visit to Dáil Éire­ann Stu­dents were met by lo­cal TD Mr Billy Tim­mins and had a chance to see our TD’s at work. Stu­dents were ac­com­pa­nied by Ms O’Dono­van and Ms Nu­gent.


A group of 6th year stu­dents trav­elled to the Water­ford open day on the 9th De­cem­ber . This Col­lege is a popular op­tion for many stu­dents from St Kevin’s. There were com­pre­hen­sive dis­plays, cam­pus tours and am­ple op­por­tu­nity for stu­dents to ex­plore all that this In­sti­tute has to of­fer.
