BIG FAT QUIZ OF THE YEAR
Roundwood Variety Group are holding ‘The Big Fat Quiz of the Year 2014’ upstairs in An Tochar G.A.A. complex on Monday 29th December starting at 8pm. It will be a quiz with a difference with all the questions based on events of 2014. There will be games and spot prizes on the night followed by music and craic. LOOKING FOR SPONSORS
Roundwood Variety Group is looking for any business or person who would like to become a sponsor for their upcoming musical “Honk The Ugly Duckling”. This year the tickets for the show will be booked on line and then printed off.

Roundwood Variety Group are delighted to announce that they are selling vouchers for their upcoming musical The Ugly Duckling which will take place from Thursday 29th January to Sunday 1st February. Our annual biathlon will take place on Saturday 27th December at 2pm with refreshments and music afterwards in Kavanaghs. A great event for all ages and all levels of fitness that will help blow away the cobwebs of the Christmas. 5 mile cycle/2mile run in aid of Cancer & Leukiaemia Research. PARISH HALL DANCE
Come and join The Wicklow Man on Friday 19th December at 9pm in Roundwood Parish Hall. In aid of the local Active Retirement Group, refreshments and raffle on the night please come along and show your support.
There was no jackpot winner in the lotto draw last week. The numbers drawn were 1, 5, 29 & 30. There were two match three winners, Maura & Orla & Rian Butler Next weeks jackpot will be, €5,300.
DIAMOND BRIDGE CLUB
Catherine McGillycuddy and Monica Brady were the victors for North/South on Monday 8th December Phil Power and Nancy O Brien were 2nd, 3rd Judy and Tiernan Hall 4th Margaret Byrne and Kay Plunkett. 1st for East/ West were Rachel Judd and Molly Byrne, 2nd Ger Lenihan and Paddy O Brien, 3rd Brid Clancy and Catherine Halligan and 4th Gertie Fee and Bridie Nolan.
002 BRIDGE CLUB
In the final competition of 2014 Ger Lenihan and Paddy O Brien finished the season as they began by taking 1st place for East/West 2nd Gertie Fee and Jane Cronin, 3rd Molly and Margaret Byrne. 1st place for North/South Rowena Brady and Maria Magee, 2nd June Digby and Monica Brady and 3rd Molly and Margaret Byrne. The top 3 places in the seasons league went to Margaret Bolger, Paddy O’Brien and Ger Lenihan respectively. Congratulations and well played to everyone who took part.

SET DANCE CLASS
Set dancing classes continue on Wednesday nights in The Mill Room, Kilcoole . Classes for all levels.
The Wicklow man will play in Moneystown Community Centre on Friday 12th December from 9.30 to 12. Teas and mince pies, door prizes, refreshments also available. Come along and enjoy a night of waltzing, jive etc. Our new years dance takes place on Fri 9th ,January with music by John Flood.
SHRINES OF FRANCE
A trip to the shrines of France will take place from 11th to 18th April, 2015 for seven nights, visiting Lourdes, Rocamadour, Nevers, Paris and Lisieux. The total cost is €799 per person sharing. Details are in the church porch. Deposit of €200 should be paid as soon as possible and the balance of the oney before 1st February, 2015. CHARITY SOCCER MATCH
Under 30s v Over 30s Soccer match in aid of the Jack & Jill Foundation will take place on the Enniskerry astro pitch, on Tuesday 30th December at 1.30pm. Pres- entation at 5pmsharp in Kavanaghs Pub, Roundwood Music and entertainment by Little Apples at 7.30pm.

The annual Candlelight Carol Service will be held in Calary Church at 8pm on Friday 19th December followed by tea and mince pies in the Church Room. Another year of Community Games is about to begin. We have a small hard working committee in Roundwood We are appealing for extra help in order to enter the full range of events that the Community Games offer.
We are looking for people who are interested in chess, draughts, singing, dancing, art and handwriting. If sport is your thing then you will find something to suit you with Community Games. Some of the games offered are soccer, basketball, badminton, hurling, football and athletics and many more individual and team sports.
If anybody in the Moneystown Laragh Roundwood area feel they can give a hand we would love to hear from them. Community Games caters for children from six to sixteen.
