St. Fer­gal’s Church Christ­mas Timetable: To­day (Tues­day)–Mass at 9.30am. Christ­mas Eve–Mass at 9.30am; Vigil Masses for Christ­mas–6pm Fam­ily Mass (Fam­ily Mass Choir) & 9.00p.m. Vigil Mass (Parish Choir). Christ­mas Day–Masses at 8.00am., 10.30am Men’s Choir) and 12.Noon (Gospel Choir). Please note that the Fam­ily Mass is on Christ­mas Eve. St. Stephen’s Day–Mass at 9.30a.m. fol­low­ing which the church will be closed. Thurs­day 27th De­cem­ber on­wards -Masses re­turn to nor­mal.

OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE

Christ­mas Hol­i­days: Paul and the Villa Staff wish all our pa­trons a Happy and Holy Christ­mas and a Peace­ful New Year. Villa Pacis and the Parish Of­fice will close at 1pm on Tues­day the 23rd of De­cem­ber and will re-open on Mon­day 5th Jan­uary 2015 at 9am.

Bugisi: The Church door col­lec­tion in aid of our twin-parish Bugisi will take place after all Christ­mas Masses. Please be as­sured that all monies col­lected will go di­rectly to Bugisi. Thank you for your support.

Hos­pi­tal­ity: You are in­vited to come along to the Villa Pacis after the 9pm Mass on Christ­mas Eve for some light re­fresh­ments. There will be no teas/cof­fees served in the Villa after the 10.30am. Mass on Sun­day 28th De­cem­ber and Sun­day 4th Jan­uary. The Hos­pi­tal­ity Group will re­turn, after the Christ­mas break, on Sun­day 11th Jan­uary 2015.

QOP YOUTH CLUB

Win­ners of the Queen of Peace Ad­ven­ture Youth Club art com­pe­ti­tion in the un­der twelve sec­tion were Zahra Walsh, Ni­amh McNulty, Sam Kear­ney, and Harry Eaves. The over twelve sec­tion win­ners were Al­lie Byrne, Daniel Jakob, Zara Bongers O’Dwyer, and Shona McKen­zie.

DIV­ING CLUB

Dur­ing the win­ter months most scuba dive clubs in the coun­try take up to three months break un­til the warmer weather ar­rives. This is not so with the lo­cal Bray Divers Club. They have a hard­core of lu­nacy fringe mem­bers who take no break, and keep go­ing right through the colder months re­gard­less of the weather. Div­ing con­tin­ues in lakes and quar­ries un­til the sea un­der wa­ter vis­i­bil­ity ar­rives once again.

BRAY LI­BRARY

Bray Li­brary will be open to­day (Tues­day) from 10am to 1pm & 2pm and 5pm, closed Christ­mas Eve to Mon­day De­cem­ber 29th in­clu­sive, re-open­ing on Tues­day De­cem­ber 30th , closed New Year’s Day.

Nor­mal open­ing hours for Bray Li­brary, Eglin­ton Road, Bray, are 10am to 1pm & 2pm to 5pm Mon­day, Wed­nes­day, Fri­day and Satur­day and 1 p.m. to 8.30pm Tues­day and Thurs­day. Bal­ly­waltrim Li­brary is closed and will re-open on Satur­day Jan­uary 3rd 2015.

Nor­mal branch open­ing hours are 10am to 1 pm and 2pm to 5pm on Tues­days, Thurs­days and Satur­days, 2pm to 5pm and 6pm to 8pm on Wed­nes­days. The li­brary is closed on Mon­days and Fri­days and Bank Hol­i­day Satur- days. Bor­row­ers are re­minded that books can be re­newed by phone.

CUALANN SO­CI­ETY

Mem­bers of the Bray Cualann His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety, the lo­cal his­tory so­ci­ety for Bray and North Wick­low, are re­minded that the So­ci­ety will open its 2015 pro­gramme on Thurs­day Jan­uary 15th at 8pm in the Bray Cham­ber of Com­merce House, 10 Prince of Wales Tce, Bray, at which the AGM of the So­ci­ety will take place and all mem­bers are re­quested to at­tend. The evening will con­clude with two pre­sen­ta­tions–‘ From Pool­beg to Ark­low: The Dublin & Wick­low Coast­line ‘ with some unique views of Bray, and ‘ 100 Years of the Glen­view Ho­tel ‘ , lo­cated in the Glen of the Downs with an in­sight into some of its pa­trons. Those wish­ing to join the So­ci­ety can do so at this meet­ing.
