Rath­michael Parish Cal­en­dar: The Rath­michael Parish Cal­en­dar cel­e­brat­ing 150 years of parish life and wor­ship is now avail­able at the mod­est cost of €10 and will be on sale after church cof­fee morn­ings or from 087-2229633.

The Al­pha /In-Be­tween Book Club: The two books for re­view and dis­cus­sion at the Jan­uary meet­ing will be ‘ The Zookeeper’s Wife ‘ by Dianna Ack­er­man, and ‘ No­rah Web­ster ‘ by Colm Tobin.


Re­source Cen­tre Hours: St. Anne’s Re­source Cen­tre is open 9am to 8.30pm Mon­day to Thurs­day and on Fri­day from 9am to 3pm. Those re­quir­ing Bap­tism / Con­fir­ma­tion cer­tifi­cates or ap­pli­ca­tion forms for Bap­tism can ob­tain them dur­ing the above hours. Please note that the Parish Of­fice is the only place where cer­tifi­cates and ap­pli­ca­tion forms can be pro­cessed.

Parish Of­fice Hours: The Parish Of­fice is open from 9am to 5pm Mon­day to Thurs­day and Fri­day from 9am to 3pm.

St. Anne’s Re­source Cen­tre Christ­mas Open­ing Times: Clos­ing on Christ­mas Eve at 1pm; Closed Christ­mas Day and St. Stephen’s Day. The of­fice will be open again Mon­day De­cem­ber 29th to Wed­nes­day De­cem­ber 31st from 9am to 1pm; Closed New Year’s Day. Nor­mal open­ing hours will re­sume from Fri­day Jan­uary 2nd 2015.

Con­fes­sions are heard on Satur­days after the 10am Mass, be­tween 12.30pm and 1pm and after the 6.30pm Mass. Mass is now broad­cast on-line and can be viewed by log­ging onto the parish web­site:www.stannes­ and then click­ing onto video link.

Bap­tism Times: Bap­tisms take place in St. Anne’s Church at 1pm on the 1st Sun­day of the Month and at 5pm on the 2nd and 4th Satur­days of the Month. A month’s no­tice is re­quired. Please con­tact the St. Anne’s Parish Of­fice lo­cated in St. Anne’s Re­source Cen­tre to make your ar­range­ments. Please note that when vis­it­ing the Parish Of­fice to ar­range a bap­tism, the child’s birth cer­tifi­cate should be brought as it nec­es­sary to pho­to­copy it for the parish records but it will be re­turned im­me­di­ately.

Bethany Be­reave­ment Group: The Bethany Be­reave­ment Group is a vol­un­tary parish-based min­istry who are trained to lis­ten and to help the be­reaved and griev­ing. The Group holds a Drop-in Cen­tre on the First Fri­day of the Month at 10am in St, Anne’s Re­source Cen­tre, and can be con­tacted via St. Anne’s Re­source Cen­tre by call­ing 01-282 2704.

Ap­prox­i­mately 1M peo­ple com­plete sui­cide ev­ery year–one ev­ery 40 seconds. It’s time to change that statis­tic. Sui­cide has a cure and that cure is HOPE. To have HOPE is to have con­nec­tion. Dare to Live SOS are a hub of sur­vivors that choose to give the gift of Hope and Support this Christ­mas.

The Jan­uary First Satur­day Book Sale, which sup­ports the Shankill Old Folks As­so­ci­a­tion and Meals on Wheels, will take place from 10am to 1pm on Satur­day Jan­uary 3rd in the Shankill Old Folks As­so­ci­a­tion Cen­tre, Lower Road, Shankill. Do­na­tions of books, other than school/text books, ap­pre­ci­ated and ac­cept on the day. Make a point of call­ing as you never know what you might find.


The Li­brary will be closed Christ­mas Eve to New Year’s Day, re-open­ing on Fri­day Jan­uary 2nd 2015. Rath­michael His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety The next meet­ing of the Rath­michael His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety, Shankill’s own lo­cal his­tory so­ci­ety, will take place on Wed­nes­day Jan­uary 7th 2015 at 8pm in Rath­michael School, Stone­bridge Road, Shankill, when the AGM of the So­ci­ety will take place.
