Seafront kiosks now open to expressions of interest in writing
SUMMER may seem a long way away, but the kiosks which grace Bray’s seafront are up for grabs from now.
Wicklow County Council is seeking expressions of interest from anyone interested in renting the units.
Usually the kiosks house those selling ice-creams, candy-floss and other summertime related items.
The season for the kiosks starts on February 1, 2015 and runs right through until November 2.
There are a total of six units available, running from north to south. One of them is right next to the busy aquarium building. The rent per kiosk is €1,800 for the season. If you wish to apply though, you will need to pay a €500 deposit which the council will refund if you are not successful.
The deadline for sending in an expression of interest is 12 midday on Friday, January 16.
Anyone interested must include details of the proposed use including what goods will be sold and details of any relevant experience.
The council will carry out a lottery to allocate the kiosks if they receive more than six applications.
If you wish to make an expression of interest, send it to David Forde, District Administrator, Municipal District of Bray, Civic Offices, Bray. For more information call (01) 2744900 or go to www.braytowncouncil.ie.
