A su­per night to cel­e­brate Shil­le­lagh GAA

SHIL­LE­LAGH GAA held a Christ­mas Party night in Parkview House Shil­le­lagh re­cently with a va­ri­ety of ac­tiv­i­ties on the night.

The 1988 in­ter­me­di­ate hurl­ing cham­pi­ons were in­vited to the party and pre­sented with an award by Martin Cole­man, County Board Chair­man.

An ad­di­tional pre­sen­ta­tion was made to Tommy Murphy for his out­stand­ing con­tri­bu­tions to the club over the years and for many more years to come. This was also pre­sented by Martin Cole­man. Speeches in­cluded words from Martin Cole­man, Mark Dempsey (Chair­man of Shil­le­lagh GAA club), Mick Ros­siter (cap­tain of the 1988 team) and Tommy Murphy.

The fun fac­tor was in­tro­duced with lo­cal cou­ples par­tic­i­pat­ing in a ‘Mr and Mrs’ com­pe­ti­tion which pro­vided great en­ter­tain­ment.

The Strictly dancers from April’s event re­united for the oc­ca­sion and per­formed their ‘group dance’.

MCs on the night were Noel Murphy and Paul Be­han. A great night had by all.
