LADIES GOLF

Our Ladies fin­ished their end of year with Xmas Lunch/Pre­sen­ta­tions at Foxrock Golf Club. 36 Lady Golfers at­tended, where we were looked after ex­tremely well. Golfer of the year went to the one and only Mar­garet Bol­ger, She ‘ll be head­ing to a sin­gle fig­ure H/ Cap very soon. 9 Hole Player of year - Ade­line Brani­gan. Match player of yr - Deirdre Car­roll. Medal of Medals - Mar­ion Mol­loy. Eileen O Con­nor Trophy - Mar­garet Bol­ger. Lady Capt for Djouce 2015 is now Va­lerie Bren­nan, Vice Capt - Ann Clarke.

Djouce Ladies have also new blood com­ing into the Club for 2015. Our own lo­cal Lady - Teresa Cow­man & Bray Lady Una Fitzger­ald have joined us, and we are de­lighted to have them on board and sure they ll be play­ing as well as Duffner AKA Mar­garet Bol­ger in com­ing year. A fam­ily Ceili and fun night in An­namoe cen­tre next Satur­day 3rd Jan­uary at 7pm. Come along to An­namoe after mass next Satur­day night for a bit of a dance and a sing song the Ir­ish way!!! All mu­si­cians are wel­come to join us.

GAA HAND­BALL

4 KIDS Hand­ball train­ing for pri­mary school chil­dren (6-12 year olds) will re­sume in the new year on Wed­nes­day 7th Jan­uary, 2015 in the An­namoe Com­mu­nity Cen­tre from 6.30pm 7.15pm.

BIG FAT QUIZ OF THE YEAR

Round­wood Va­ri­ety Group are hold­ing ‘The Big Fat Ta­ble Quiz of the Year 2014’ up­stairs in An Tochar G.A.A. com­plex on Mon­day 29th De­cem­ber start­ing at 8pm. It will be a ta­ble quiz with a dif­fer­ence with all the ques­tions based on events of 2014. There will be games and spot prizes on the night fol­lowed by mu­sic and craic. TEXT ALERT SCHEME

Round­wood and Dis­trict Com­mu­nity Text Alert is now up and run­ning and al­ready 3 texts have been sent to the over 300 lo­cal peo­ple who have joined the scheme alert­ing them to po­ten­tial crim­i­nal ac­tiv­ity. COM­MU­NITY GAMES

Another year of Com­mu­nity Games is about to be­gin. We have a small hard work­ing com­mit­tee in Round­wood We are ap­peal­ing for ex­tra help in or­der to en­ter the full range of events that the Com­mu­nity Games of­fer. We are look­ing for peo­ple who are in­ter­ested in chess, draughts, singing, danc­ing, art and hand­writ­ing. If sport is your thing then you will find some­thing to suit you with Com­mu­nity Games.

Some of the games of­fered are soc­cer, bas­ket­ball, bad­minton, hurl­ing, foot­ball and ath­let­ics and many more in­di­vid­ual and team sports.If any­body in the Moneystown Laragh Round­wood area feel they can give a hand we would love to hear from them. SET DANC­ING

Set danc­ing in Ka­vanagh’s lounge ev­ery Thurs­day night with live mu­sic for the rest of this month and Oc­to­ber with Michael and Brian. Ses­sion from 9pm un­til 11pm. Vis­i­tors to the area and be­gin­ners are al­ways wel­come. If you would like a quick les­son on the steps be­fore the ses­sion be­gins just give Sheila a call on 4.
