The Happy Pear has voluntarily withdrawn a batch of its food products due to the potential presence of a pathogenic bacteria.

One batch of their ‘Hero Sprouts’ 80g pack is possibly affected and has been taken off the shelves.

The Hero Sprouts product contains a mix of sprouted alfalfa, broccoli, clover and radish seeds. The use-by date on the batch in question is May 10, 2016. The withdrawal has been put in place as a precaution. According to the Food Safety Authority or Ireland, further testing is underway and customers will be informed if harmful bacteria is detected.
