Bray Arts col­lec­tive host a per­for­mance evening

Bray Arts per­for­mance evening will take place at the Martello on Mon­day, May 9, at 8 p.m. The event will in­clude per­for­mances by po­ets, a graphic artist and a solo multi-in­stru­men­tal­ist. Pop­u­lar pub­lished po­ets Bernie Kenny, Carol Boland, Mau­reen Perkins, Judy Rus­sell, Mar­guerite Col­gan and Rosy Wil­son are The Shed Po­ets. They re­turn to read from their in­di­vid­ual col­lec­tions and group an­tholo­gies. Graphic artist Ariyana Ah­mad Makes use of pens, brushes and black ink to fo­cus on cre­at­ing in­tri­cate pat­terns and melan­co­logic de­tail, rep­re­sent­ing fan­tasy and myth­i­cal sub­jects for es­capism and ther­apy. The avant-garde Niamh Parkin­son, ‘I Am Niamh’ ,will en­gage her won­der­ful voice, cello, dig­i­tal pi­ano and per­cus­sive in­stru­ments to cre­ate a unique fo­cus on ex­per­i­men­tal, quirky elec­tron­ica sounds. Ad­mis­sion is €5 or €4 con­ces­sion.
