Trees are re­placed

TREES at the Grey­stones Trans­port In­ter­change have been re­moved and re­placed with cherry trees.

The en­gi­neer said that th­ese should be more ap­pro­pri­ate for the ground con­di­tions there.

Cllr Tom For­tune said that he has re­ceived an­other call from a lady in Sea­court, New­cas­tle, won­der­ing when a prob­lem­atic tree there will be cut down.

Mr O’Han­lon said that they will be re­mov­ing it this year. He said that they pri­ori­tise within a lim­ited bud­get based on whether a tree might be dan­ger­ous.
