Congratulations to our drama troupe on two remarkable productions that were performed in front of audiences in excess of 350 people recently. The first year production, by Andy Hamilton, was refreshing, enjoyable and thoroughly well presented by the first Year cast. The second and fifth Year students put on a production of, ‘Becoming Shakespeare’, by Charlie Lovett.

The cast of over 20, in their period costume, depicted a real sense of time in history, and once again, a thoroughly enjoyable production. Congratulations to all of the students who helped in the preparation and management of both plays. There is no doubting the immense talent among our student body and we look forward to many more fabulous performances from our young actors and actresses.

Finally, but by no means least, a special word of thanks our Director for the production of both plays and the immense amount of time and dedication given to present the plays to such a high standard.

Congratulations to our Show Jumping teams who participated in the final round of the All-Ireland Inter Schools Show Jumping Competition last weekend in Mullingar. Well done to the full team for their participation in the Open Event and to our fifth year student who placed third in the Metre Class. It has been a wonderful year on the equestrian front and a big ‘Thank You’ to our tirelessly supportive parent body who have braved the elements to support our teams.

Well done to our junior and senior students, Team Blue and Team Green, who took part in the Eureka Science Quiz held by ISTA in Belvedere College last Wednesday. The teams came second and fourthd respectively with just one point separating the top four teams. A tremendous result well done one and all!

Congratulations to our third Years who came third in the PiQuiz, a Higher Level Maths competition, which was held in Wesley College last week. Good preparation for what lies ahead.
