RIGHT in the heart of the town, The Blue Castle restaurant is one of Bray’s newest arrivals and is the latest venture for Lingning Lin and his wife Xiao Ling Chen.
The inviting and stylish eatery serves a wide range of dishes, from a full breakfast with all the trimmings, to sandwiches, salads and more for lunch, and high-end bistro cuisine for dinner, as well as a function room for parties of up to 30 people.
Breakfast is served from 8.30 in the morning, right up to 2 p.m. in the afternoon.
Located on a wonderful site at the Civic Plaza just off the Main Street, the restaurant is located in the historic ‘St Cronan’s Building’, with a convenient car park adjacent to the premises.
This is the family’s second restaurant in the town, and while Ling’s on the Albert Walk focuses solely on Chinese food, The Blue Castle offers European cuisine.
They have a fantastic pre-theatre and early-bird menu, with two courses €21, three courses €25, all available from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. from Wednesday to Saturday.
They would love nothing more than for everyone to come and try them out and see what you all think. They are very open to opinions and want to work forward to make a restaurant that has a little something for everyone.
The Blue Castle menu is very unique and different and is definitely worth a try. The Ling family have lived in the Bray area for the pasts 15 years and now very much consider the town home.
Along with head chef Paul Regan, their focus is on customer service, excellent food, and making the Blue Castle experience a relaxing and appetising one for everyone who walks through the door to the bright and elegant space.
Head chef Paul said that the feedback about the food has been excellent. The menus designed by Paul are all modern European bistro style, with simpler fare for breakfast and lunch and high-end bistro style with a good emphasis on fish, all carefully prepared in a brand-new kitchen.
