RIGHT in the heart of the town, The Blue Cas­tle restau­rant is one of Bray’s new­est ar­rivals and is the lat­est ven­ture for Lingn­ing Lin and his wife Xiao Ling Chen.

The invit­ing and stylish eatery serves a wide range of dishes, from a full break­fast with all the trim­mings, to sandwiches, sal­ads and more for lunch, and high-end bistro cui­sine for din­ner, as well as a func­tion room for par­ties of up to 30 peo­ple.

Break­fast is served from 8.30 in the morn­ing, right up to 2 p.m. in the af­ter­noon.

Lo­cated on a won­der­ful site at the Civic Plaza just off the Main Street, the restau­rant is lo­cated in the his­toric ‘St Cro­nan’s Build­ing’, with a con­ve­nient car park ad­ja­cent to the premises.

This is the fam­ily’s sec­ond restau­rant in the town, and while Ling’s on the Al­bert Walk fo­cuses solely on Chi­nese food, The Blue Cas­tle of­fers Euro­pean cui­sine.

They have a fan­tas­tic pre-the­atre and early-bird menu, with two cour­ses €21, three cour­ses €25, all avail­able from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. from Wed­nes­day to Satur­day.

They would love noth­ing more than for every­one to come and try them out and see what you all think. They are very open to opin­ions and want to work for­ward to make a restau­rant that has a lit­tle some­thing for every­one.

The Blue Cas­tle menu is very unique and dif­fer­ent and is def­i­nitely worth a try. The Ling fam­ily have lived in the Bray area for the pasts 15 years and now very much con­sider the town home.

Along with head chef Paul Re­gan, their fo­cus is on cus­tomer ser­vice, ex­cel­lent food, and mak­ing the Blue Cas­tle ex­pe­ri­ence a re­lax­ing and ap­petis­ing one for every­one who walks through the door to the bright and el­e­gant space.

Head chef Paul said that the feed­back about the food has been ex­cel­lent. The menus de­signed by Paul are all modern Euro­pean bistro style, with sim­pler fare for break­fast and lunch and high-end bistro style with a good em­pha­sis on fish, all care­fully pre­pared in a brand-new kitchen.
