St Peter’s Scouts vic­to­ri­ous at County Challenge week­end

The 12th Wick­low Scout Group from St Peter’s, Bray, won the re­cent County Challenge held in Lough Dan.

The Cill Mhan­tain Scout County Challenge was held at the camp­site near Round­wood from April 22 to 24. Teams from scout troops all over Wick­low take part in the com­pe­ti­tion which is oth­er­wise known as ‘Cin­ders’.

This is the first time 12th Wick­low had en­tered teams and not only were they the over­all win­ners, they also took home the Taste Challenge Shield for their culi­nary skills and the Bases Challenge Tro­phy for their knowl­edge and team­work.

12th Wick­low will now go for­ward to Scout­ing Ire­land’s na­tional com­pe­ti­tion, known as The Phoenix, which be held over four days in Au­gust.
