Charity walk thank you
A big congratulations to everyone from the Kilmacanogue National School sixth class of 2014-2015 on a very successful and enjoyable 5k fun walk in aid of Crumlin Children’s hospital on May 2. The class got together to support one of their former classmates, Michael O’Brien who was diagnosed with Leukaemia in January and is undergoing treatment in Crumlin Hospital. A whopping €2,400 has been raised so far with more still to be collected.
A great day was had by all but special mention to Yvonne Doyle who did all the setting up in the Parish Hall, Teresa Bushe and Yvonne for baking fabulous buns, Peadar and Anne Smith for providing the well-earned Pizzas at the end and to all the parents that took part.
Special thanks also to the Schools parents’ association and Principal Geraldine Kelly who organised a non-uniform day in Kilmacanogue National School which boosted the amount raised.
Finally on behalf of everyone from Kilmacanogue, we would like to wish Michael a speedy recovery.
