THE 6th class girls of Connect Neighbourhood Youth Project in Ballywaltrim have published their first book - ‘Nibble’s Big Adventure’.

It tells the story of a fish that is left out because he looks different. The message of the story is that being different is OK.

They held a launch last Thursday in Ballywaltrim and sold over €170 worth of books, with more on order. Every penny raised is being donated to Pieta House.

There will be readings during the week in the girls’ school. Sea Life have put in an order for some of the books, given the aquatic theme.

There was a great turnout at the book launch, which included sweets, drinks and a short presentation about the book. The bright and colourful book costs €6.

The young ladies have been working on Nibble’s Big Adventure for the past year.

Adam Burke of Connect BNYP said that he is immensely proud of the young authors.
