Resource Centre Hours: St Anne’s Resource Centre is open 9 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. Monday to Thursday and on Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those requiring Baptism/Confirmation certificates or application forms for Baptism can obtain them during the above hours. Please note that the Parish Office is the only place where certificates and application forms can be processed.
Mass Times: Mass is celebrated in St Anne’s Church at 10 a.m. and 7.30 p.m. Monday to Friday, (except August and September). Weekend Mass times are Saturday 6.30 p.m. Vigil Mass and on Sunday at 8 a.m., (9 a.m. in St Patrick’s Church in St Columcille’s Hospital), 10.30 a.m. (Family Mass), midday, and 6 p.m. Confessions are heard on Saturdays after the 10 a.m. Mass, between 12.30 p.m. and 1 p.m., and after the 6.30 p.m. Mass. Mass is now broadcast on-line and can be viewed by logging onto the parish website:stannesparishshankill.com and then clicking onto video link.
Baptism Times: Baptisms take place in St Anne’s Church at 1 p.m. on the first Sunday of the Month and at 5 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of the Month. A month’s notice is required. Please contact the St Anne’s Parish Office located in St Anne’s Resource Centre to make your arrangements. Please note that when visiting the Parish Office to arrange a baptism, the child’s birth certificate should be brought as it necessary to photocopy it for the parish records but it will be returned immediately.
Pre Baptism Meetings: Pre Baptism Meetings are held on the last Thursday of every month for parents presenting their children for Baptism the following month.
Divine Mercy Prayer Group: The next meeting of the Divine Mercy Prayer Group will take today (Wednesday) from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in St Anne’s Resource Centre.
St Vincent de Paul: The Society’s monthly church door collection will take place after all the Masses this Saturday and Sunday. Thank you for your support.
First Holy Communion: We hold in our prayers the children from Scoil Mhuire receiving their First Holy Communion this Sunday at the 10.30 a.m. Family Mass. We would also like to congratulate the children from St Anne’s School who received their First Holy Communion last Sunday week.

Appeal For Adorers. Did you know that our Blessed Sacrament Adoration Chapel is open Monday to Friday from 10.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and also from 5.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. At present, we are appealing for people to ‘watch one hour’ with the Lord. There will be a book in the Chapel for you to sign in. If there is no one present when you have to leave the Chapel, we ask that you close over the tabernacle doors.
Bethany Bereavement Group: The Bethany Bereavement Group is a voluntary parish-based ministry who are trained to listen and to help the bereaved and grieving. The Group holds a Drop-in Centre on the First Friday of the Month at 10.30 a.m. in St, Anne’s Resource Centre, and can be contacted via St Anne’s Resource Centre by calling 01-282 2704.

Altar Society: The Altar Socie- ty comprises of parishioners who prepare and arrange floral displays for the church each week, working either singly or in pairs. The use of fresh flowers enhances the church space especially the sanctuary, and these floral displays also help to reflect the changing Seasons of both the calendar year and the church’s year. If you are interested in joining the Altar Society please call into the Parish Office.
Apostolic Work: Do you like sewing? Would you like to join a group making vestments and altar linens for missionary parishes? All materials supplied. We meet on Thursdays in the parish resource centre at 11 a.m. Contact Kathie at 2823014 or just come along!
Suggestion Box: We now have a Suggestion Box in the church. We welcome suggestions/comments/ideas you may have with regard to improving our Parish Community. These suggestions will be brought to the Pastoral Council Meetings which are held monthly.

The June First Saturday Book Sale will take place on Saturday, June 4, in the Shankill Old Folks Association Day Centre, Lower Road, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. so make a point of calling in during that Saturday morning as it is a great way to pick up some excellent reading material at bargain prices. Donations of books, other than school/text books, accepted on the day.
Opening hours for Shankill Library are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and on alternate Fridays and Saturdays. The library is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. The library will be closed this Friday but open on Saturday. Members of the Rathmichael Historical Society, the local history society for Shankill, Ballybrack/Killiney and surrounding area, are invited to tomorrow’s (Thursday) 8 p.m. meeting of the Bray Cualann Historical Society, the local history society for Bray and North Wicklow, at which James Scannell will present his lecture ‘The Picture Postcards of John Hinde’ in the Kinsale Room of the Royal Hotel, Main Street, Bray.
