Many congratulations to all of the schools and students who participated in the St Gerard’s School annual Sailing Regatta in Greystones Sailing Club last week. This is the largest fleet since we began seven years ago with 39 boats and 59 sailors.
Congratulations to Sam Hennessy, winner of the Jack Roy Trophy and to Ben Hutchinson, Runner Up. Marcus O’Leary won the Junior School Sailor of the Day and Loreto Dalkey were overall winners of the School Event. A special word of thanks to Greystones Sailing Club for their help and assistance in running the event on the day.
Congratulations to the 19 students that represented the school over two days last week in the Leinster Championships. Tom Cullen (4th Year) was placed fourth in the high jump, Conor Furlong (5th Year) was placed fourth in the shot putt and Louis Lalor (3rd Year) finished fourth in the 100m and 400m hurdles. Abbie Taylor (3rd Year) had the performance of the day when she was Runner-up in the three, 000metres race in which she broke the championship record. A fabulous achievement, well done.
Congratulations to all those who took part in the Senior School Family Tennis. There was a tremendous turnout for the event and the weather was ever so kind. We thank all of the students and parents for their participation and trust they had an enjoyable evening.
