The 12s had a great 2-0 win over Ashford to clinch a Shield Finalist spot. Rohan Byrne got the first via a penalty to see Glens lead at the break before an own goal sealed the victory following a Luke Kelly cross in the second half. This Another great team display from all the lads to put them into the shield final against Carnew.

The record in the shield was Played seven, Won five, Drew one and Lost one, accumulating 16Pts with one game to play at home to their finalist opposition Carnew which will probably not need to be played now as it is immaterial. Congratulations to the entire squad and also to manager Karl Bradshaw who travels from Gorey to train, manage the team and even mark the pitch for games and has put so much effort in to the team for the kids enjoyment as Glencormac find it very difficult to keep panels together after under-11s age group, well done ‘The Brad’ and panel.

The Seniors were away to Arklow Celtic and lost 8-3. It was a very tight affair in the first half and the Glens should have gone 3-3 all at the break but Dean McCormacks shot came back agonisingly off the post in the dying seconds. However, the defence fell asleep in the second half and conceded a further five goals without reply. Simon Deady hit a hatrick and was best on the day.

The under-11s face two finals this week. They played Greystones at home in the Shield Final on Tuesday night (24th, result too late for this page) and face the same opposition this Saturday at 2 p.m. in Greystones. Support for them would be very welcome.
