An­other busy and suc­cess­ful week for the South East Road Club. Last Wed­nes­day was the fi­nal round of the Slaney league in En­nis­cor­thy and a great night for SERC with Larry Doyle tak­ing sec­ond place on the night and win­ning the league over­all.

Larry showed great strength and fit­ness ev­ery week never fin­ish­ing out­side the top three re­mark­able as this is Larry’s first ever year to race, huge con­grat­u­la­tions and well done Larry.

Thurs­day night the race crew head- ed to Gorey for round 3 of the Gorey league; a tough course con­sist­ing of laps of Kil­murry hill.

In the A4 race Wayne Byrne fin­ished third from a three-man break and the ever im­pres­sive Johnathan Rus­sell tak­ing the bunch sprint to fin­ish in fourth place.

In the A1/2/3 race Liam Cur­ley took a fan­tas­tic win af­ter some great rid­ing to not only chase down the break­away but to ride on past and take a very im­pres­sive win against some of the best rid­ers in the south east . Well done Liam.

On Satur­day last some mem­bers from our tour­ing sec­tion took part in the Mount Leinster chal­lenge in­volv­ing 140k and two as­cents of Mount Leinster. Well done to all.

Our moun­tain bik­ers were at it again mak­ing the long trip to lady Dixon park in Belfast for the lat­est round of the XC se­ries. Well done to Der­rick Evans who fin­ished in the top 10 in the S2 sec­tion and also a great ride from Tony Barnes fin­ish­ing in the top 20 in the S3 sec­tion well done boys.

Our club spins con­tinue ev­ery Sun­day leav­ing Fern Hill plaza at 9.30pm.
