Man woke to find masked in­trud­ers in his bed­room

BURGLARS threat­ened a man with a knife dur­ing a break-in in the Wolfe Tone area of Bray in the early hours of last Thurs­day.

A male res­i­dent of the house was asleep when the in­trud­ers dis­turbed him.

The man was sub­jected to a ter­ri­fy­ing or­deal when he awoke to a light be­ing shone in his face.

Two masked men were in his room and they were armed with knives. This oc­curred at ap­prox­i­mately 5.45 a.m. One of the men in­volved wore a red hoodie and grey bot­toms and the other wore an Adi­das top and grey bot­toms.

Their faces were cov­ered and they both wore hats.

The in­trud­ers took a wal­let be­long­ing to the vic­tim and some other per­sonal prop­erty.

They also got his keys and took the man’s car.

In a sep­a­rate break-in, also in the Wolfe Tone area, and el­derly res­i­dent was tar­geted and some of her jew­ellery taken.

Gardai are ap­pealling for any­one who saw sus­pi­cious ac­tiv­ity in the Wolfe Tone area last Thurs­day morn­ing to con­tact Bray Garda Sta­tion on (01) 6665300 or the garda con­fi­den­tial line on 1800 666 111.
