Enterprising crowds at Loreto
THERE WAS A free community enterprise town event held in Loreto Bray last Friday and Saturday in association with Bank of Ireland. More than 55 local business and clubs were involved in making the two-day programme a huge success. The participants were there to display, trade and network. Minister Simon Harris was at Loreto on Friday to launch Enterprise Town. Gavin Duffy from Dragons Den addressed those present. Louise Fleming from Wicklow Enterprise Office also made an appearance, as did motivational speaker Eric Dempsey. Bray Musical Society provided the music on Saturday, which had a big focus on community organisations. There was also face-painting and a food market. Groups to exhibit at the event included Wicklow Lawn Tennis Club and Bray Camera Club. There were a few Robin Hoods there on Saturday, with a display of archery. There was a local sports and clubs panel, and a steady stream of visitors to the event.
