Gospel choir raises roof at St Peter’s

Bray People - - NEWS -

There was no shortage of audience participation at St Peter’s Church where Bray Gospel Choir recently held a concert.

‘We had a great time and the audience made it all the more special,’ said a spokesman.

Garden County Radio were there to broadcast the lively performance.

Proceeds from a raffle on the night will go to Lakers, supporting children and adults with special needs. Bray Gospel Choir is a non-denominational group of singers with a passion for gospel and soul music. Their group was created in January 2009 by four friends, with various musical backgrounds. Their magnificent repertoire includes everything from pop and rock music to gospel and spiritual standards as well as soul and hip hop.

The singers and musical director work extremely hard, with rehearsals each week.

One of the highlights of their career as a choir will have been performing alongside Eurovision hero Johnny Logan, to support the ‘Lean on Me’ campaign on Dublin’s Grafton Street.
