This Saturday’s Sum­mer Gar­den Fete: The Christ Church, Bray, Sum­mer Gar­den Fete will take place in the church grounds this Saturday from 10.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. and is a great fun filled fam­ily event. There will be a ter­rific ar­ray of stalls to chose items from so make a point of call­ing into this event dur­ing the morn­ing as you never know what you might find.

HOLY REDEEMER PAR­ISH

Exam Prayer Wall: If you know any­one who is sit­ting the State Ex­ams this year and would like them in­cluded in our masses please write their name on a ‘post it’ (which is sup­plied) and

place it on the Exam Prayer Wall. All those named on this wall will be in­cluded in the Prayers of the Faith­ful at Masses com­ing up to and dur­ing the ex­ams.

Exam Prayer Cards: Prayer cards are avail­able for stu­dents and those who wish to pray for them. Take a multi-coloured prayer card if you are a stu­dent sit­ting the ex­ams or if you wish to give/send one to a stu­dent. Take a pur­ple prayer card if you would like to pray for some­one.

Exam Mass Bou­quet Cards: If you would like to give the gift of a mass card for some­one do­ing ex­ams, there are a small num­ber of cards avail­able in the Of­fice.

Date For Your Di­ary: This year the Holy Redeemer Feast Day will be held on Sun­day, July 3,. On that day the 10.30 a.m. and mid­day Masses will be amal­ga­mated for a spe­cial cel­e­bra­tion at 11 a.m. This will be fol­lowed by re­fresh­ments in the Lit­tle Flower Hall/Church Grounds/Gar­den. Mass Cel­e­bra­tion and Ded­i­ca­tion of our New St An­thony Room and out­door Grotto in hon­our of Our Lady: Arch­bishop Diar­muid Martin DD has kindly agreed to cel­e­brate Mass here in St Fer­gal’s on Sun­day, June 19, at 10.30 a.m.The con­struc­tion of the Meet­ing Room and Grotto were made pos­si­ble by the gen­eros­ity of the par­ish­ioners in con­tribut­ing to the Liv­ing the Joy of the Gospel Cam­paign. QOP YOUTH CLUB

Queen of Peace Adventure Youth Club mem­bers re­cently en­joyed a pad­dle board­ing ses­sion in ad­di­tion to the usual ca­noe­ing and body board­ing. The pad­dle boards and in­struc­tion was given by John McNulty of Bray Ad­ven­tur­ers. Nine ju­nior snorkel­ers are training on Wed­nes­days, and they ex­pect to gain cer­tifi­cates within the next 10 weeks. Older mem­bers or­gan­ised a so­cial evening fa­cil­i­tated by Ciara Larkin. Later in the month there will be a climb on Snow­don Moun­tain in Wales. The club is func­tion­ing very well with their ded­i­cated com­mit­ted lead­ers.

DIV­ING CLUB

Bray Divers had a his­toric week as Mr Sean Quirke handed them the keys of their new club build­ing in Grey­stones Har­bour. The club was founded 33 years ago and now has mem­bers from Grey­stones, Kil­coole, Bray, and Dublin. It was a mo­men­tous oc­ca­sion which will be cel­e­brated when the build­ing is fit­ted out. Div­ing in Portroe Slate Quarry was car­ried out with divers Bren­dan, Ann, Jack, Louis, Jonathon, and Al­bert. Dives were down to 25 me­tres in the clear cool quarry wa­ter.

The Alzheimer’s Café in Kil­rud­dery House and Gar­dens is a re­laxed place where peo­ple with de­men­tia, their fam­i­lies and friends and health and so­cial care pro­fes­sion­als come to­gether on the last Thurs­day of each month (2.30 p.m. to 4 p.m.) for ed­u­ca­tion and sup­port over a cup of tea.
