Euro 2016, RTE Two, Mon­day 5pm Ire­land start their Euro 2016 cam­paign on Mon­day evening with a match against Swe­den in Paris.

Martin O’Neill’s side qual­i­fied via a play off hav­ing mem­o­rably taken four points off the World Cham­pi­ons Ger­many in their qual­i­fy­ing group.

This is Ire­land’s third Euro­pean Cham­pi­onships after the highs of Ger­many 1988 and the lows of Poland-Urkaine in 2008.

Ire­land have never beaten Swe­den in a com­pet­i­tive match but will be try­ing to break that duck be­fore tak­ing on Bel­gium the fol­low­ing Saturday in Bordeaux and fi­nally Italy on June 22 in Lille in their other two group matches.
