Students honour their two late classmates with €10k donation
The students and staff of St Brendan’s College raised in excess of €10,000 in a fundraising event to commemorate two of their students who sadly passed away during the academic year.
The whole school community carried out the event in memory of Jack Harvey and Keelan O’Connor from Bray who died in September and December last year.
The boys of St Brendan’s organised a 24-hour soccer marathon to raise money for Aware and Meningitis Research Foundation Ireland. On April 22, the students played soccer into the wee hours in the hope of raising awareness of mental health and meningitis. It was supported by the whole school as well as the greater little Bray community. They received sponsorship from family and friends and raised a breathtaking €10,175 to be divided evenly among both charities.
