Schools and clubs could train with Katie

SCHOOLS AND clubs across County Wick­low could be in with a chance to win a train­ing ses­sion with Olympic gold medal­list Katie Taylor, thanks to a new com­pe­ti­tion launched this week.

Bray boxer Katie and her mum Brid­get are work­ing with In­ter­na­tional Olympic Com­mit­tee part­ner Proc­ter and Gam­ble ahead of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games as part of P&G’s ‘ Thank You, Mum’ cam­paign, which em­pha­sises the fact that it takes some­one strong to make some­one strong.

P&G and Su­perValu are now call­ing on schools, sports teams and clubs from around the county to show them what makes them strong, to be in with a chance to with the once in a life­time ses­sion with Katie.

Any­one wish­ing to en­ter must pur­chase a P&G prod­uct in their lo­cal Su­perValu, visit www.train­with­ and share a photo of their school or club’s bravest mo­ment.

The com­pe­ti­tion is open un­til June 29, when five short­listed en­trants will be cho­sen.

A pub­lic vote will then take place un­til July 21 with the win­ner be­ing an­nounced at the be­gin­ning of Au­gust on Katie’s Twit­ter ac­count.
