Schools and clubs could train with Katie
SCHOOLS AND clubs across County Wicklow could be in with a chance to win a training session with Olympic gold medallist Katie Taylor, thanks to a new competition launched this week.
Bray boxer Katie and her mum Bridget are working with International Olympic Committee partner Procter and Gamble ahead of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games as part of P&G’s ‘ Thank You, Mum’ campaign, which emphasises the fact that it takes someone strong to make someone strong.
P&G and SuperValu are now calling on schools, sports teams and clubs from around the county to show them what makes them strong, to be in with a chance to with the once in a lifetime session with Katie.
Anyone wishing to enter must purchase a P&G product in their local SuperValu, visit www.trainwithkatie.ie and share a photo of their school or club’s bravest moment.
The competition is open until June 29, when five shortlisted entrants will be chosen.
A public vote will then take place until July 21 with the winner being announced at the beginning of August on Katie’s Twitter account.
