DE­MEN­TIA IN­FOR­MA­TION

The Co. Wick­low Branch of the Alzheimer So­ci­ety of Ire­land are hold­ing an In­for­ma­tion Meet­ing on Mon­day, June 27, at 8 p.m. in Arus Lor­cain, Arklow.

Speak­ers in­clude So­cial Worker Patrick Shee­han on le­gal as­pects and en­ti­tle­ments, De­men­tia-trained nurse Jackie O’Toole will give tips to en­hance our mem­ory and Donal Mur­phy will speak about the Alzheimer So­ci­ety.

Fol­low­ing a cup of tea the speak­ers will an­swer ques­tions from the floor. Con­tact Shelly 087 2378389 for any in­for­ma­tion re­gard­ing the meet­ing.

GAA LOTTO

There was no jack­pot win­ner last week, the num­bers were 1, eight,11, 22. There were two match-three win­ners each re­ceiv­ing €200. The jack­pot stands at €3,600 the next draw is on Mon­day, June 20, in the Cas­tle Inn.

FIT­NESS TRANS­FOR­MA­TION

Colly Yeo­man has his fit­ness classes in the GAA pitch ev­ery Mon­day and Wed­nes­day at 7 p.m. The body con­di­tion­ing classes take place Satur­day at 9 a.m. There is also an out­door Yoga class on Thurs­day at 7 p.m.

BADMINTON

Badminton takes place ev­ery Tues­day in the com­mu­nity cen­tre at 8.30 p.m. New mem­bers are al­ways wel­come and it’s a great way to keep fit.

COU NTRY MAR­KET

The North Wick­low coun­try mar­ket takes place in the com­mu­nity cen­tre ev­ery Satur­day from 10 p.m.

THE CAS­TLE INN

This Satur­day from 10.30 p.m. till late the Bunko Broth­ers make a long waited re­turn to the lounge. He­len O’Mal­ley has her line danc­ing class this Sun­day from 7.30 p.m. up­stairs.

CY­CLE TO SCHOOL DAY: Well done to all the stu­dents and staff who cy­cled/scooted to school on Wed­nes­day, June 15, as part of Na­tional Bike Week. Many Thanks to Mrs Gil­lick and the Green School Com­mit­tee, to Bik­ing.ie and all our vol­un­teer par­ents/past pupils for a most suc­cess­ful day.

CAR­NI­VAL DAY: Con­grat­u­la­tions to Ms. Cheev­ers and Sixth Class on the suc­cess of their Char­ity Fun Day on TUES­DAY June 21. Lots of At­trac­tions for pupils in all classes with €2 dona­tion per child for Char­ity.

BIO-DI­VER­SITY DAY: Mrs Gil­lick, Grace Garde and the Green School Com­mit­tee worked to ar­range ac­tiv­ity based pro­grammes for chil­dren on the them of Bio Di­ver­sity on Wed­nes­day, June 22.

JU­NIOR IN­FANTS 2016-2017: Great Ex­cite­ment on Mon­day, June 20, when 50 Ju­nior In­fants came to meet their Teach­ers for the first time.

STREET FEAST

Mary Flem­ming with Rita and An­thony Moore at the Bray Toastmasters 35th An­niver­sary din­ner at the Es­planade.
