The Co. Wicklow Branch of the Alzheimer Society of Ireland are holding an Information Meeting on Monday, June 27, at 8 p.m. in Arus Lorcain, Arklow.
Speakers include Social Worker Patrick Sheehan on legal aspects and entitlements, Dementia-trained nurse Jackie O’Toole will give tips to enhance our memory and Donal Murphy will speak about the Alzheimer Society.
Following a cup of tea the speakers will answer questions from the floor. Contact Shelly 087 2378389 for any information regarding the meeting.
There was no jackpot winner last week, the numbers were 1, eight,11, 22. There were two match-three winners each receiving €200. The jackpot stands at €3,600 the next draw is on Monday, June 20, in the Castle Inn.
Colly Yeoman has his fitness classes in the GAA pitch every Monday and Wednesday at 7 p.m. The body conditioning classes take place Saturday at 9 a.m. There is also an outdoor Yoga class on Thursday at 7 p.m.
Badminton takes place every Tuesday in the community centre at 8.30 p.m. New members are always welcome and it’s a great way to keep fit.
COU NTRY MARKET
The North Wicklow country market takes place in the community centre every Saturday from 10 p.m.
THE CASTLE INN
This Saturday from 10.30 p.m. till late the Bunko Brothers make a long waited return to the lounge. Helen O’Malley has her line dancing class this Sunday from 7.30 p.m. upstairs.
CYCLE TO SCHOOL DAY: Well done to all the students and staff who cycled/scooted to school on Wednesday, June 15, as part of National Bike Week. Many Thanks to Mrs Gillick and the Green School Committee, to Biking.ie and all our volunteer parents/past pupils for a most successful day.
CARNIVAL DAY: Congratulations to Ms. Cheevers and Sixth Class on the success of their Charity Fun Day on TUESDAY June 21. Lots of Attractions for pupils in all classes with €2 donation per child for Charity.
BIO-DIVERSITY DAY: Mrs Gillick, Grace Garde and the Green School Committee worked to arrange activity based programmes for children on the them of Bio Diversity on Wednesday, June 22.
JUNIOR INFANTS 2016-2017: Great Excitement on Monday, June 20, when 50 Junior Infants came to meet their Teachers for the first time.
