‘Dead Man’s Cell Phone’ play

THE Dalkey Play­ers will present their en­try to the RTE All-Ire­land Drama Fes­ti­val Cir­cuit 2017, ‘Dead Man’s Cell Phone’, next month.

Fea­tur­ing a num­ber of cast mem­bers from Bray, the play will be on in Dalkey Town Hall from Wed­nes­day, Fe­bru­ary 22, un­til Fri­day, Fe­bru­ary 24, at 8 p.m.

Dead Man’s Cell Phone, writ­ten by Sarah Ruhl and di­rected by Emma Jane Nulty, ex­plores the para­dox of mod­ern tech­nol­ogy’s abil­ity to both unite and iso­late peo­ple in the dig­i­tal age. This play is a mov­ing and funny ex­plo­ration of how, in the midst of our frag­ile lives, tech­nol­ogy can both unite and iso­late us, es­pe­cially in our quest for true love.
