The an­nual trip this year will be to Gal­way. Par­tic­i­pants will travel by coach on Mon­day, April 17, and re­turn on Fri­day, April 21. Fur­ther in­for­ma­tion to fol­low.


Af­ter some weeks of spec­u­la­tion and un­fore­seen de­lay, the con­trac­tors are now in­stalled at the play­ground site and work has be­gun in earnest. It is es­ti­mated that the build will take six weeks to com­plete.


The team is cur­rently go­ing around the var­i­ous es­tates in the vil­lage to share in­for­ma­tion and en­list sup­port.


This an­nual char­ity day will be held on Satur­day, April 8, from mid­day to 5 p.m. in the Mill Room. Or­gan­iser Sylvia Scan­lon wants to buy 60 easter eggs for pa­tients at New­cas­tle Hospi­tal with the bal­ance of funds be­ing split be­tween the Open Door, Kil­coole Tidy Towns and Bray Lak­ers. There will be a draw with 100 prizes. If any­one would like to do­nate a prize or un­wanted gift please drop in to Kil­coole Phar­macy.


The cen­tre is avail­able for book­ings (e.g. classes, meet­ings, birth­day par­ties). Book­ings can be made via email kil­ or by phone 01 2872017. Of­fice open­ing hours: Mon­day to Thurs­day 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Fri­day 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.


Kil­coole GAA weekly lotto draw takes place ev­ery Mon­day night with the jack­pot in­creas­ing €200 per week till it’s won. Pick four num­bers, match four to win or share in the jack­pot, match three to win or share €200. Tick­ets on sale in Tesco and Cen­tra ev­ery Satur­day morn­ing or daily from some out­lets or any com­mit­tee mem­ber.


Bingo is held on Mon­day nights in St Pa­trick’s hall at 8 p.m. Ev­ery­body is wel­come.

Bad­minton is played ev­ery Tues­day in the com­mu­nity cen­tre at 8.30 p.m. New mem­bers are al­ways wel­come – it’s a great way to keep fit.


The North Wick­low coun­try mar­ket takes place in the com­mu­nity cen­tre ev­ery Satur­day from 10 p.m. till 12.30 p.m.


A ta­ble quiz takes place in the Cas­tle Inn this Fri­day, Fe­bru­ary 3, in aid of St Fran­cis’ na­tional school. Please come along and sup­port.

Our Last Man Stand­ing com­pe­ti­tion has gone into an un­prece­dented Week 10 and from the 10 play­ers that were stand­ing go­ing into week 9 we have un­for­tu­nately lost just one player mean­ing that we are left with 9 play­ers still stand­ing. Week 10 fix­tures will be for Tues­day Jan­uary 31/Wed­nes­day Fe­bru­ary 1. You can fol­low the progress of the com­pe­ti­tion on our Face­book and Twit­ter pages.
