Cath Blanchett won an Oscar for her performance in Woody Allen’s film about a socialite whose world is shattered when her husband, played by Alec Baldwin, is arrested for running a Ponzi scheme. She flees New York to stay with her sister in San Francisco but their relationship is already troubled. As with all of Allen’s films, expect lots of good lines (the line-up also features comedian Louis C.K) but this one has more depth than some of his fluffier comedies.
