Stole from Boots
A man who took hundreds of euro of perfume, hair wands and straighteners from Boots has been ordered to repay the balance of the compensation.
John McDonagh (18) appeared in Bray District Court last Thursday. The incidents occurred on November 25 and 27, 2014, when the defendant was 16.
The court heard that €290 has been paid for two Babyliss hair wands and two Babyliss straighteners, taken on November 27, 2014.
Judge David Kennedy adjourned the matter to February 27 for the payment of €270 for perfume taken on November 25, 2014.
Solicitor Joe Maguire said that things have settled down for McDonagh who was recently married and is to work in the family business. ‘It’s been going on long enough,’ said Judge David Kennedy. ‘I just want it finished with now and I’m sure he does too.’
