ST ANNE’S PARISH
Mass Times: Mass is celebrated in St Anne’s Church at 10 a.m. and 7.30 p.m. Monday to Friday (except August and September). Weekend Mass times are Saturday 6.30 p.m. Vigil Mass and on Sunday at 8 a.m., 10.30 a.m. (Family Mass), midday, and 6 p.m.
St Patrick’s Chapel, Loughlinstown: The celebration of the Sunday 9 a.m. Mass has now ceased in the chapel and will not resume till later this year when essential maintenance has been completed.
Baptism Times: Baptisms take place in St Anne’s Church at 1 p.m. on the first Sunday of the month and at 5 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. A month’s notice is required. Please contact the St Anne’s Parish Office located in St Anne’s Resource Centre to make your arrangements. Please note that when visiting the Parish Office to arrange a baptism, the child’s birth certificate should be brought as it necessary to photocopy it for the parish records but it will be returned immediately.
Pre-Baptism Meetings: Pre-Baptism Meetings are held on the last Thursday of every month for parents presenting their children for baptism the following month.
Room Hire – St Anne’s Resource Centre: At present we have availability in the centre for room hire. If you are interested in running your class or course please contact Melissa Tobin at 01 2822777 for further information. Facilities include Free car park, tea or coffee, Use of whiteboard and projector, Flipchart Stands. Three rooms available with capacity for 80 people, 25 people, or 15 people.
Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament: The UAC hold Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the 22nd of each month. .
Faith Friends: Session four of Faith Friends will take place in Scoil Mhuire today (Wednesday) and in Rathmichael and St Anne’s Friday.
St Anne’s Parish Pastoral Council Meeting: Last Monday night the February meeting of the St Anne’s Parish Pastoral Council Meeting took place in St Anne’s Resource Centre at 8 p.m.
Life in the Spirit – Praise, Talk, Discussion: Learn more about how you can allow God to work in your life in St Anne’s Resource Centre, Shankill, every Tuesday at 8 p.m. Starts on Tuesday, February 28, and runs till Tuesday, April 11. Cake Sale – Sunday, March 5: The Mum’s from the Family Mass Liturgy Group will be holding a cake bake sale and would welcome any home baked cakes and biscuits to be brought in to St Anne’s Resource Centre on that morning before 10.30 a.m. Mass. All proceeds will go towards a much-needed new cooker in St Anne’s Resource Centre as the one we have at present is no longer functioning. Thank you in advance.

February Film Night: Takes place on Saturday, February 25, in St Anne’s Resource Centre at 8 p.m. – doors open at 7.30 p.m. The film being screened will be Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein’s ‘Showboat’, an MGM Musical Treasure starring Howard Keel, Kathryn Grayson and Ava Gardner. Admission free.
Vacancies: We presently, have vacancies on our Community Employment Project for an Office Administrator/Receptionist and a Caretaker/Ground’s Person. If you are eligible for CE and interested in either position, please leave your CV into St Anne’s Resource Centre for the attention of Melissa Tobin.
Suggestion Box: We now have a Suggestion Box in the church. We welcome suggestions/Comments/ideas you may have with regard to improving our Parish Community. These suggestions will be brought to the Pastoral Council Meetings which are held monthly.
Men’s coffee morning: The Men’s coffee morning takes place every Friday from 10.30 a.m. to 11.30 p.m. in St Anne’s Resource Centre. Please join us if you are free.

The Shankill Active Retirement Association (SARA) meets at 3 p.m. on the third Monday of the month in St Anne’s Resource Centre. New members always welcome.
SCOIL MHUIRE 40TH
We at Scoil Mhuire are celebrating our 40th Anniversary this year. As part of the celebrations, we would like to borrow any photographs you have of the school over the years which we will copy and return.
We hope to have a photographic exhibition in April, which will be open to the public. Envelopes for photos are available in St Anne’s Resource Centre or in the school. Thank you for your co-operation – Patricia Slavin (Principal).
The March First Saturday Book Sale, which supports the Shankill Old Folks Association and Meals on Wheels, will take place in the Shankill Old Folks Centre, Lower Road, Shankill, on Saturday, March 4, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. so make a point of calling into the book sale that Saturday morning and avail of the opportunity to pick up some excellent reading material for the Spring.
Donations of books, other than school/text books, accepted on the day.
Opening hours for Shankill Library are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and on alternate Fridays and Saturdays – the library will closed this Friday but open on Saturday. On Wednesday, March 1, Ms. Theresa Hicks will present her lecture ‘The Kennedys of Mount Kennedy’ to the Rathmichael Historical Society, the local history society for Shankill, Ballybrack and surrounding area, in Rathmichael School, Stonebridge Road (Dublin Road end), Shankill, Co.Dublin. The guild meets on the second Monday of the month at 3.30 p.m. in St Anne’s Resource Centre. Craft Morning takes place in St Anne’s Resource Centre on Tuesday mornings from 10.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.

SHANKILL GAA CLUB
Our Academy is back in action every Saturday at 10 a.m. in St Laurence’s college. Cost is €2 per child, there is no annual subscription and all equipment is provided free of charge.
