The under-8s played four games against Ashford and managers Mick Rooney and Paul Devlin were delighted with the effort they all put in despite losing overall.

The Glencormac under-10s were away to Wolfe Tone last Saturday on a bitterly cold morning and put in a brave display before eventually losing to their hosts. One of the Wolfe Tone Coaches, the great Ger Holmes said Glencormac had some very good players and battled to the end so well done young glens.

The senior team were at home to Park Celtic on Sunday afternoon and reversed last November’s 6-1 defeat with a very impressive 4-1 victory. The Glens trailed to an early goal but fought back to level the game by halftime when Sam Kerr forced the ball over the line.

After the restart, the Glens took over with two goals from Simon Doyle and a beautiful curling effort by Josh O’Callaghan. The team are starting to work well together now as a unit and hopefully can keep the good form at home to Shamrock Celtic this Sunday afternoon.
