Daniel Jean­re­naud, alias The Cam­den Cat, will play at the hot Spot Mu­sic Club on Fri­day, July 21, with the Roll Over Beethoven tour.

Daniel has plaied with Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Carl Berkins, Bo Did­dley and more.

Through­out his ca­reer, Daniel Jean­re­naud has shared a bill, and hung out with the likes of; Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Bo Did­dley and more. Daniel’s first band to break into the in­dus­try was ‘The Kingsnakes’ – which he formed with sev­eral mem­bers of Amer­i­can cult punk band ‘The Flamin Groovies’. Chuck Berry even named Daniel’s favourite Gib­son guitar ‘Na­dine’ af­ter bor­row­ing it on tour at Bill Gra­hams ‘Old Wal­dorf’ in down­town San Fran­cisco. The Kingsnakes parted ways in the mid-nineties, play­ing their last show at the Olympia in Paris with ‘Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’

Since then Daniel has been the man be­hind a leg­endary 12-year res­i­dency at the Marathon in Cam­den Town at­tract­ing the likes of Paul Weller, Jarvis Cocker, Liam & Noel Gal­lagher, and Amy Wine­house to the crowds. Daniel has also reg­u­larly jammed at the restau­rant with Chas Smash of Mad­ness, and even per­formed a few songs with Tina Weymouth of Talk­ing Heads, and with Jack White of the White Stripes which was cov­ered by Ker­rang! and NME Mag­a­zine in 2002.

Daniel Jean­re­naud is fronting James De­laney on key­board who has played with Chuck Berry him­self as well as Van Mor­ri­son; Si­mon Far­rell on dou­ble bass who toured with Imelda May in 2008 and Shane At­las on drums. Other bands un­der their col­lec­tive belts in­clude Gavin Povey & the Pave­ment Kings.
