Festival gives you wings!
Up to 25,000 wing lovers and foodies attended Wings Food Fest which returned to Bray seafront at the weekend.
There was live music and family fun, with 17 pop up stalls serving wings, professional pit masters carrying out barbecue demos, and competitions for eating as many wings as possible in three minutes, or the hottest wings going.
Twelve bars and restaurants competed for the ‘ Bray Wing Off ’ title and after a much heated debate, the judging panel crowned Platform Pizza as having the best wings in Bray for 2017.
Wendy Walsh from Wings Food Fest said: ‘ The aim of the Wing Food Fest was to honour the chicken wing phenomenon and this weekend I think we certainly did that in style. It was really great to see the sun making an appearance which helped boost visitor numbers. Bray was the place to be at the weekend.
