Fes­ti­val gives you wings!

Up to 25,000 wing lovers and food­ies at­tended Wings Food Fest which re­turned to Bray seafront at the week­end.

There was live mu­sic and fam­ily fun, with 17 pop up stalls serv­ing wings, pro­fes­sional pit masters car­ry­ing out bar­be­cue demos, and com­pe­ti­tions for eat­ing as many wings as pos­si­ble in three min­utes, or the hottest wings go­ing.

Twelve bars and restau­rants com­peted for the ‘ Bray Wing Off ’ ti­tle and af­ter a much heated de­bate, the judg­ing panel crowned Plat­form Pizza as hav­ing the best wings in Bray for 2017.

Wendy Walsh from Wings Food Fest said: ‘ The aim of the Wing Food Fest was to hon­our the chicken wing phe­nom­e­non and this week­end I think we cer­tainly did that in style. It was re­ally great to see the sun mak­ing an ap­pear­ance which helped boost vis­i­tor num­bers. Bray was the place to be at the week­end.
