Loreto Bray – Lour­des Col­lec­tion: A church gate col­lec­tion will take place af­ter Masses this Sun­day in aid of the five Loreto Bray stu­dents who are trav­el­ling to Lour­des with the Dublin Dio­cese Pil­grim­age in Septem­ber to help sick pilgrims. Your sup­port would be greatly ap­pre­ci­ated.

Con­grat­u­la­tions to Eimear Hardi­man, who has gained the Ir­ish Canoe Union Level Two Canoe Pro­fi­ciency Cer­tifi­cate. Eimear trained with the Queen of Peace Ad­ven­ture Youth Club, and the tester for the ICU was John McNulty. She is the first mem­ber to have achieved this cer­tifi­cate for more than two years. It is ex­pected that more mem­bers will gain this cer­tifi­cate be­fore Oc­to­ber. The club will be closed for two weeks from July 26 and will re-open on Tues­day, Au­gust 15. Dur­ing this pe­riod the club lead­ers will be tak­ing a very well earned break.


Bray Divers Sub-Aqua club will be re­cruit­ing up to six new trainees in Septem­ber. Two new mem­bers are well ad­vanced in the re­cent course, and the 11 ju­nior snorkel­ers are mak­ing ex­cel­lent progress. Plans for the rest of the year in­clude night div­ing, a sec­ond trip to St John’s Point in Done­gal, a trip to Portroe Slate Quarry, and the an­nual dive hol­i­day in Lan­zarote.
