Sin­cere sym­pa­thy is ex­tended to the fam­ily and rel­a­tives of Mary Smith, née Doyle, Monaseed and Oak­field Nurs­ing Home, her re­mains were re­moved to Monaseed on Sun­day evening and burial took place on Mon­day af­ter mid­day mass.

To the fam­ily and rel­a­tives of Fr Fin­tan Mor­ris, Kil­tealy and Ti­na­hely, who died re­cently.

Founded in 1967, Kare cel­e­brates its 50th an­niver­sary this year. We in­vite you to visit Kare Ti­na­hely Lo­cal Ser­vice on Fri­day, July 28, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The aim of this open evening is to in­form our friends, sup­port­ers and the com­mu­nity about the sup­port ser­vices and fa­cil­i­ties avail­able to our Ser­vice Users.

Kare pro­vides sup­port to peo­ple who have an in­tel­lec­tual disability and their fam­i­lies. Ti­na­hely Lo­cal Ser­vice was es­tab­lished in 2003 and has gone from strength to strength ever since.

The cen­tre is presently housed in a pur­pose built unit in Ti­na­hely Com­mu­nity Hall on the School Road.

The catch­ment area in­cludes Ti­na­hely, An­nacurra, Clon­more, Carnew, Shil­le­lagh, Cool­boy, Aughrim, Knock­anana and Hack­et­stown. The lo­cal ser­vice take this op­por­tu­nity to thank you for your gen­eros­ity and val­ued sup­port over the years.

TI­NA­HELY WALK­ING CLUB

On Sun­day, July 30, the walk will be at Bal­ly­crys­tal (Grade B+, 12km, 3.5 hours) meet­ing in Bun­clody at 10 a.m. On Sun­day, Au­gust 6, the walk will be at Mul­lagh­clee­vaun (Grade B+, 15km, five hours) meet­ing in Ti­na­hely at 9.30 a.m. or car park at Sor­rel Hill at 10.30 a.m. Please en­sure to wear proper walk­ing boots, to bring ad­e­quate food and drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear. crowd have the power. Any­one, who is in­ter­ested in this chal­lenge and has yet to ex­press an in­ter­est, please con­tact any mem­ber of the com­mit­tee. This is a night def­i­nitely not to be missed.

Championship Fix­ture – The sec­ond round of the Ju­nior A championship takes place this Fri­day evening, July 28, in Balt­in­glass at 7.30 p.m. against Kil­bride. All trav­el­ling sup­port is ap­pre­ci­ated to en­cour­age the lads to get a win un­der the belt in the group stages.
