Stage times for the Groove Fes­ti­val are an­nounced


THE stage times for the up­com­ing Groove Fes­ti­val at Kill­rud­dery have just been re­leased so fes­ti­val go­ers can start plan­ning their week­end’s en­ter­tain­ment.

The fes­ti­val, which takes place on Au­gust 19 and Au­gust 20, will see the pic­turesque Kill­rud­dery play host to a packed au­di­ence of fes­ti­val fans who will not only en­joy the in­cred­i­ble mu­sic but will also have ac­cess to all that the newly ex­panded fes­ti­val has to of­fer, in­clud­ing Thrive, a brand new life­style and well­ness ex­pe­ri­ence event.

Groove, with the in­tro­duc­tion of Thrive, is the next-gen­er­a­tion of well­ness fes­ti­vals where the au­di­ence can bal­ance do­ing a yoga class then chill­ing out and en­joy­ing the best of mu­sic, food and fes­ti­val fun.

On Satur­day Columbia Mills are first on the Main Stage at 1.30 p.m. fol­lowed by Chas­ing Abbey at 2.45 p.m; Jerry Fish at 4.15 p.m.; Kor­mac Live at 5.45 p.m.; Hudson Tay­lor at 7.15 p.m. be­fore head­lin­ers Pri­mal Scream take to the stage at 9 p.m.

On the Sony Xpe­ria stage on Satur­day will be: Jamie Duff at 2.15 p.m.; Third Smoke at 3.15 p.m.; Farah Elle at 4.15 p.m.; Chris Wise and the Hid­den Rev­o­lu­tion at 5.15 p.m.; Katie Laf­fan at 6.15 p.m.; Ailbhe Reddy at 7.15 p.m. and Daithi at 8.15 p.m.

Per­for­mances on the Main Stage on Sun­day be­gin with Na Fianna at 1.30 p.m.; Spring Break at 2.45 p.m.; Stomp­town Brass at 4.15 p.m.; Cry Be­fore Dawn at 5.45 p.m.; Hot­house Flow­ers at 7.15 p.m be­fore UB40 fea­tur­ing Ali, As­tro and Mickey fin­ish off the evening’s en­ter­tain­ment at 9 p.m.

Sun­day’s Sony Xpe­ria stage kicks off with a set by Carron at 2.15 p.m.; I Am Ni­amh at 3.15 p.m.; Bocs So­cial at 4.15 p.m.; Jack O’Rourke at 5.15 p.m.; King Bones at 6.15 p.m.; The Fitzafrenic at 7.15 p.m. and John Smith at 8.15 p.m.

Of course it’s not just all about the mu­sic and no fes­ti­val is com­plete with­out food. Groove is pro­vid­ing one of the best menus at any Ir­ish fes­ti­val and Sharon Shan­non’s newly launched Gar­den of Ve­gan food truck will be on site along­side the de­li­cious Korean fare. Bray’s leg­endary Box Burger will be serv­ing a spe­cial Groove menu as well as an­other fa­mous lo­cal, The Happy Pear food truck.

Fam­i­lies are well catered for with plenty of ac­tiv­i­ties to keep all ages en­joy­ing the whole day at Groove Fes­ti­val.
