Full speed ahead for camogie cham­pi­onships in all grades

CON­GRAT­U­LA­TIONS to all the Wick­low County League win­ners 2017: a dou­ble for Kiltegan in un­der-14 and un­der-16, Bal­li­na­cor claimed the Ju­nior, Bray Emmets clinched the In­ter­me­di­ate and Knock­ananna are the Se­nior cham­pi­ons.

As the adult in­ter-county sea­son pro­ceeds with­out us - it’s time to get our lo­cal cham­pi­onships un­der­way.

The Se­nior cham­pi­onship threw in last night with re­sults of Round 1 fix­tures: Bal­li­na­cor v Glenealy and Knock­ananna v Carnew Emmets un­avail­able as we go to print.

Next week sees ac­tion in all grades on Tues­day, Au­gust 15. Se­nior: Bal­li­na­cor v Knock­ananna and Glenealy v Donard-The Glen.

The first game of the In­ter­me­di­ate cham­pi­onship is Kil­coole against Avon­dale while the Ju­nior cham­pi­onship opens with Aughrim tak­ing on Ark­low Rocks and An­nacurra do­ing bat­tle with Éire Óg Grey­stones.

De­vel­op­ment squad ac­tions con­tin­ues with the un­der-15 All-Ire­land blitz played out in Dublin last week­end.

The un­der-14 de­vel­op­ment squad trav­elled to the blitz in Kilkenny on Satur­day and they travel to Rath­cof­fey for the Kil­dare blitz on Satur­day, Au­gust 12.

The un­der-16s play the semi-fi­nal of their All-Ire­land com­pe­ti­tion on Sun­day, Au­gust 13, in Dublin. We wish them the best of Luck against their Mon­aghan oppo- sition.

Fri­day, Au­gust 10, brings us to Round 10 of the un­der-12 county mini league.

Fix­tures are: Avon­dale v Eire Og, Kiltegan v Kil­coole, Donard/ Glen v Ark­low Rocks, An­nacurra v Glenealy, Carnew v Knock­ananna and Aughrim v Avoca.
