Named in a num­ber of polls as one of the worst songs ever recorded, and No 7 in a Rolling Stone poll to find the 10 most an­noy­ing songs ever, it nev­er­the­less bagged an Ivor Novello award for air­play in 2006, reached No 1 in many ter­ri­to­ries, in­clud­ing Ire­land, the UK and the US, and has sold well over 600,000 copies in the UK and over three mil­lion in the US. Blunt him­self has stated that he hates the song, but it re­mains his big­gest hit, and his only sin­gle to reach the top 40 on the Bill­board Hot 100 in the US.
