Arch­bishop will ad­dress the Ir­ish-Ger­man So­ci­ety

Arch­bishop Diar­muid Martin will be the guest speaker at the next meet­ing of the Ir­ish- Ger­man So­ci­ety of County Wick­low.

The meet­ing will take place on Mon­day, Fe­bru­ary 26 at 7.30 p.m.

‘Dr Martin was a guest of the Dio­cese of Wurzburg dur­ing the Kil­iani Fest in July 2017,’ said chair­man of the so­ci­ety Ge­orge Jones.

‘He gave a talk to a gen­eral au­di­ence in Wurzburg on the topic “The Chal­lenge for the Church in the 21st Cen­tury”.

‘So in view of our con­nec­tions with Wurzburg the Com­mit­tee of the Ir­ish- Ger- man So­ci­ety are de­lighted that the Arch­bishop has ac­cepted our in­vi­ta­tion to speak at our next gen­eral meet­ing.’

The Arch­bishop ad­dressed that meet­ing in flu­ent Ger­man. Rep­re­sen­ta­tives from County Wick­low were present at the talk.
