With his wife Bri­die they both built their busi­ness while rear­ing a fam­ily of six . As the chil­dren grew older they all worked at var­i­ous times in the busi­ness, no­tably Brenda and John. How­ever it was Paschal who showed a tal­ent for watch and clock re­pair which Jack en­cour­aged and sent him off to study at the Ir­ish, Swiss in­sti­tute of Horol­ogy. Paschal re­ceived his diploma in 1984 af­ter three years of study­ing.

He re­turned to Gorey to work along­side his par­ents un­til 1987 where he took a year out to travel and work in North Ryde Syd­ney, Aus­tralia. He spent nine months de­vel­op­ing his skills with Seiko Time Ltd. and an­other three months in Dar­win work­ing with a Scot­tish watch maker.

In Oc­to­ber 1988 Paschal re­turned to work his mother af­ter his fa­thers re­tire­ment. In Oc­to­ber 2007 Whit­more Jew­ellers launched Tele­phone: 053-9483669 Email: info@whit­more­jew­ellers.com their sec­ond store in Gorey shop­ping cen­ter and are cur­rently pre­par­ing to open a third out­let called Trea­sures and Tro­phies. Now sixty years on Paschal with his sis­ter Lynda are car­ry­ing on their fa­thers legacy with spe­cial guest ap­pear­ance from his lovely wife Caro­line.

Paschal wanted to ac­knowl­edge Orla Som­mers who com­pleted a fine Jew­ellers train­ing course in may 2017. Two mem­bers of the team shall at­tend the same course in 2018 which will ben­e­fit our cus­tomers and stores great when it comes to hav­ing de­tailed knowl­edge of fine jew­ellery and di­a­monds. Also this year Whit­more’s are re­fur­bish­ing their new work­shop where they will be able to de­sign, al­ter and re­pair jew­ellery. Whit­more’s cel­e­brated their 60th an­niver­sary in 2017 and look for­ward to serving their cus­tomers for many more years to come. And as Paschal al­ways says
