THE Kali­wat Iliganon As­so­ci­a­tion - Repub­lic of Ire­land (KIA-ROI) had a big cel­e­bra­tion in Bray re­cently.

The Filipino com­mu­nity based in Bray was cel­e­brat­ing its 10th an­niver­sary, as well as the Feast of St Michael, and the in­duc­tion of of­fi­cers for 2018 to 2020.

Nine nights of novena Masses were held in the church of Our Lady Queen of Peace, from Septem­ber 20 to 28. Fi­esta Mass on Septem­ber 29 was of­fi­ci­ated by Fr Joseph Whe­lan.

The in­duc­tion of the new set of of­fi­cers and cel­e­bra­tion was held in Wolfe tone Com­mu­nity Cen­tre. The event was at­tended by Cllr Der­mot O’Brien and his fam­ily, and the Philip­pine Hon­orary Con­sul Mark Christo­pher Cong­don.
